As Christians, it is now our duty, even more so than ever, to stand up and TAKE ACTION amongst the tragedies going on all over the world. This is not just a race thing anymore. This is not an job thing. This is not a a sexual orientation, gender, or “insert any prejudice here” thing. Does this mean these things were not factors or motives in the attacks, past or present? They may very well have been. But that should not be our main focus. Straight up, this is a lack of love and lack of Jesus thing. We NEED to come together, as one body, LOVING FIERCELY all those we come across. We need to stop living in our comfy little Christian shells and get over ourselves. Get over our prejudices. I saw “our” because I’m just as guilty as the next person and I’m sure you could say them same. Stop being “burdened” inside and watching from afar, and let that well up so much so that we have to do something about it. We need to let love fuel our EVERY motive GENUINELY. Not out of pity. Not out of duty. But because we were called, commanded, and should feel privileged to do so. We can only pray so much for Jesus to come back, but what the heck are we doing as we wait for His return?!?! I’m done sitting here, twiddling my thumbs as human lives are being taken, left and right. It’s time church, to stand out and LOVE FIERCELY.
